PIC Request: daytona Blue Z with Burnt Orange Seats
I know I have been lurking these forums for a LONG time. But it seems that I am obviously either am not looking in the right place or just suck at this...I have seen Burnt orange seats in every other Z besides daytona blue. I have seen some in a Roadster Daytona blue but those pics didnt do the seats enough justice. Basically Im trying to find out if I should switch my Black leather seats for Burnt Orange in a Blue Z. Im pretty sure Frost white would look good but I'm interested in Orange since the brembo calipers are orange.

B.orange seats in a D.blue Z---AWFUL.
The logic of matching the color of seats to match your
Brembos is,pretty lame. The thing about having a bright
blue car is that you are limited to color accents. This shade of
blue is far from a neutral color. If it was more of a navy,it would be
different. It appears that you are looking at a seat swap to another
Z color. The options other than your black or a gray are few.IMO,
if you wanted to do it right,I'd get your seats recovered by a quality
shop.Black would still be a good choice with a accent cording trim
of a gray.Or do a med gray seat with black accents. This would be
pretty sharp.

My op is that it will look good. F side airbags your too big to need them and they will prob hurt you more than help in a crash... Plus your seats are done if they go off.
You will need some resistors (which I have) and splice them into your oem harnesses(under seats). You will also have to perform a key stroke to make the air bag light shut off. NBD I have sparco evo2 plus seats in my car and have no issues with the light coming on.
I'd ask him to kick you some cash in the trade to pay for the nismo harnesses so it is plug and play but i can also make you a set for nothing (i have a box of the resistors jic mine ever fail).

i think they would look just fine OP.
You have a great looking car for one, and number two, they are BARELY orange.
Id get rid of the red tho.. smoke out the taillights as that will throw of the colors of the car. Just lightly so they arent so blindingly red. Not 1996 black out style.
Mine are terracotta and are orange as all living hell in comparison to the OEM burnt orange color... these really are still just a tan seat. Thers a HAIR of orange in them, but dont let the name fool ya, the color is actaully tan.
My thoughts tho? Unless you have a smoking deal on a set of OEM oranges, why not have new leather done to what you have now? Professional install ran me 160 bux and made a huge difference in fit and zero wrinkles. They used steam and spray glue to install them.. tuff to do in your own driveway id say.
Leatherseats.com/// tons of color options.. far more than Katzkins.

Smoked tails are played out. On that blue car the red tails really pop and look good (imo). If You had black on other parts I can see doing them but the vibrant colors and the silver wheels work very well together. If they were super orange I would say agree with the clash but as stated they are more of a dull orange/dark tan. I will photoshop your pics with tinted tails so you can decide.
Give me a day because I am busy.
They are fairly close in color to the brembos (not exactly tho).

That Orange isn't that bad on the Blue to be honest, well to me that is.. just because whenever I see orange and blue, they're complimentary colors of each other.
Then again, it is your car and just do what you like. Something like that shouldn't even matter to others, just you.
