I have a vis hood and it is not heavy.. It's exactly the same as my stock hood weight but with hood vents.

 

Aftermarket parts are always gonna fit differently , never gonna fit as well as oem, but if u want the look ya deal with it.

 

i used to have the OEM seibon hood. the fitment was excellent and condition out of the box was great. surprisingly i didn't have to make a lot of adjustments either; just had to move it forward from the hinges IIRC.

 

What Bmcan said is true.

My OEM style VIS CF hood is not vented. It is the same weight as OEM.
But the hood is all fiberglass with a CF top.

The fitment is pretty good though.

I have a Seibon CF hood on my '06 and I hate it. The fitment is horrible and after a while, the side without the hood prop will start to slouch. Don't get me started on the hood vents either. If I could find an OEM hood, I'd go back in a heartbeat.
