Default Cipher Auto Racing Seat Review

I had been searching for some seats that weren't going to cost too much and be fine for just daily driving. I stumbled across another thread on here about Cipher Auto. So I researched on more forums, everyone had great reviews.

I recently pulled the trigger on getting some of the CPA2004FRDBK. I submitted my order Wednesday night after talking to their customer service (which in my opinion better than anyone else I had contacted about seats) confirming they would fit in the Z.

Saturday they get delivered and assembled. Assembly was super easy no instructions given because none were needed. Only issue that I have yet to contact them about is that when they arrived one of the covers for the seat adjuster came a little damaged.

Brackets are currently being made after they arrive they will go in and I will update the thread.

For now, it is just the seats.

Hows the suede look? Thinking about picking up a set of these soon... Can you post more photos along with up close pics of the suede? Also installed pics would be awesome.

These look awesome in person I will take more photos tomorrow when there is light out. I don't have the brackets yet so no installation shots just yet but they will be posted once they come in.

How comfortable are they? How tall are you and waist size cause I am 190lbs size 34 waist. Been looking for something more supportive than the stock seats.

These seats are pretty comfortable. I am 6'5" 190lbs and waist 34. My head hits the back of the chair perfectly and the seat is nice and snug I would assume that size 36 waist maybe the perfect size if you like ultra snug. I have a little wiggle room but not much. Again this is all just sitting in them outside of the car because the brackets haven't come in. I will update the feel of these things once I take them for a spin in the car. I shall also get the GFs opinion and include it as well.

More detailed pics coming shortly gotta wait for my camera battery to charge some more.

So I suck at taking pictures. If you need anything specific I can take them. But here is what I took.

Does anyone have any recommendations to protect the suede from getting dirty? I was thinking Kiwi Suede Protector.

The brackets I am still waiting for are from their site.

I wish I had more updates than to tell you FedEx says they will be here on the 1st. I have no experience in autox or track to be quite honest. I just have been needing seats since the previous owner was a large man and the bolster got ripped. Like the look of these and for the price, can't complain.

Fair enough!

Thanks for that dude. Looking forward to seeing more updates. I like how the seats look, esp. with the suede material. Quality looks awesome too, telling from the pics.

Got the brackets today and installed them. I am rather pleased with them. This is the only picture I have as of right now. Better pictures and more of a review tomorrow.
