Default Flat black roof/hatch

Anyone done this? I really want to, but unsure how it would look on Daytona Blue. In my head it sounds awesome, I have 19" matte black forgestar f14 rims.

Not in flat. Gloss will look better.

The 2 tone IMO looks terrible on our cars. You essentially split the car in half with the roof and hatch done.

Stick to just the roof.

Post up a pic of your car, it shouldn't be too hard to photoshop it

In before someone comments on the lights.

Personally, I would pass on the flat black roof. You really don't want to overdo the two-tone look.

I think it would not look bad especially with what I see as window tint. Just the roof though

could get the plastidip kit and see how you like it, if you dont like it peel it off. kit is 300 bucks lol.

saw it for first time yesterday, someone that actually bought the whole car kit and must say the matte black looked pretty good, the firebelly orange wheels did not go well with it though...................

I'm sure someone has done flat vinyl roof top, but I haven't seen one. Why don't you be the first one and share with us

I'd say maybe roof only with some vinyl and also paint the door handles. The silver sticks out like a sore thumb with the dark tint and black wheels.

The two tone built from the junkyard civic thing is trendy now, go for it. Better yet, plasticrap is the newer rice trend, just spray it.

i think the reason plastidip is getting so big is because 1) its 300 bucks the first time, after that its like 150 bucks to paint the whole car(if you do the dipyourcar.com thing and get the pro car kit with the special wagner sprayer) 2) if you dont like it peel it off no big deal 3) its easy pretty much anyone can do it and requires next to no prep work outside washing your car

wont lie the matte black vw and audi dude did from the actual website looked pretty good from the video, and the one i saw the other day in life def looked pretty good too. far better then the oldschool housepaint and roller method of cheaping out to paint your car

You asked for opinions. Here is mine.
Your Z as it sits now looks pretty bad.
You may have "XYZ" wheels, but they just look like
a flat black blur.Really no different from OEM rims
painted black. The idea of adding MORE black to
thetop portion of the car will just make things worse.
From a design standpoint if it were me,I'd have different
wheels...a bronze possibly. The tailights are also not good.

I think it looks pretty decent in the Photoshop. Tail lights gotta go though.

Keep it all blue or just a black roof.

Those ebay tail lights are a big mistake. Buy OEM LEDs. OEM tail and head lights are worth the extra money IMO. If you don't have the budget, then save up. You'll be glad you did.

dude.. these comments sometimes man.. haha.
Those are Forgestar F14s and are fantastic wheels.

OP, do a gloss black roof only wrap (100$ in vinyl TOPS) and it will blend to the rear glass and give the car a cohesive and modern look versus a 1992 two tone look.

Plasti dip your door handles for 6 dollars and one can of dip and your car would look very simple and very nice.
Your taillights can cause issues w the ECu and acceleration as well. OEM full red would look nicer IMHO.. but thats not what you asked. Im sure you ahve plans for the rest of the car..

bottom line is you asked about the hatch, Schif photoshopped em for you and i think a roof only would look better.. it is ultimately up to you, but what you ordered has been served in this thread. All up to you now..
end this bish. /

and your wheels are JUUUUST FINE..
