Default Getting Painted: Need Thoughts

Hey all, since I'm getting some shaving and body work done, and the OEM paint is terrible to begin with, and the fact my bumpers are not exact paint matches, my current silverstone Z is getting painted.

I was looking to just repaint it silverstone, but I figured, hell I want it to be different. The color I was considering was Porsche non-metallic Slate Gray, so there would not be drastic changes between the exterior and the bay. Thoughts?

Default Love the Slate Gray, but...

...I think the red is too much for it. I have a gunmetal Z and have painted the calipers bright blue. I think that works okay. I really like your car's overall look.

I wouldn't add any red into it. Here's a quick shop.

I would never paint my brake calipers on any vehicle that I own. There will be no red on the car.

I like the slate gray color or a similar shade.
In no way would I add any color accents(red).
O.K.,you "shaving" and getting some body work done.
Like what?
What wheels are going with this color?
What color is your interior?

IMO,has not done enough on other stuff.
The gray looks dull unless its backed up with some super wheels
and other body mods.

The op just put the pic of the Porsche up for refence. He's just talking about the shade of gray on it. He's not doing anything with red. Just clearing that up.

Why the hell not. Be different.

Whatever you do, don't paint your damn calipers (unless it's silver or black). Ugh.

Are you going with a gloss or matte? I vote a good gloss on a paint like this - matte might look "unfinished" or too bland. Maybe do something a little different and have the painter throw some red or blue flake in it. Have him paint some swatches and see what you like the most.

What's wrong with painting your calipers?

nothing at all. just the few of the Uber cool z owners look down on it. to ricey? i dont think so, few say dont but do not give a reason why. i like the touch of color behind the rims.

the new z's will have colored calipers as stock option. so i guess those same people will be to cool for the new z's

I think the paint color seems pretty good without the red.
