Default Interior Trim Kit

Anyone have any good suggestions for interior trim kits? Is Carbon the best thing to go with?

I think the vinyl carbon fiber wrap looks better than the stick on kits that you can purchase from eBay.

Is your opinion based on actually seeing the two?
Just asking...so many guys voice opinions because "somebody"
told them/saw the----in a magazine etc.I've seen the 2.Have interior
kit(AKA "stick on").The interior CF kit I have(not a cheapo version)has
much more dimension than vinyl. The vinyl wrap is essentially a "photo"
of CF twill pattern much like Formica or other counter top materials
that give a faux finish..stone,wood grain&so on.The "kits" have a tough urethane finish that is extremely durable.Mines been in my car for 3 yrs.
Looks brand new.

See my comments to OkashiZ.
There are pros&cons on CF applications.
Wraps, which is CF look replica, must be applied to pieces after they are removed from the car.The matte finish on vinyl is a plus. However, the twill pattern does not have the deepness of real CF.Kits are CF veneer with a urethane coating. The pieces are
attached with 3-M tape peel off backing.Pieces are cad designed, precisely cut on high
quality kits.Installation is very simple.Using real molded CF pieces is expensive. In my car,
I did a combo of both. The negative on kit pieces is that are 2D.Do not work on 3D parts like curves, cover over gauges etc.
If you are looking a pics,be mindful that all this stuff just does not photograph well.
Looks much better in person.
Check my veh pics for an example.
Good luck!

People formulate thier questions online in a very odd way.. i mean, i dont ( hope) think they really ask other people to make their opinions for them lol...

but it sure always sounds like it doesnt it.

OP, are you asking what the options are?
Pros and cons etc?

There's sanding and painting body color, theres dinoc CF vinyl which is very clean adn subtle, theres full molded CF kits that require work to fit, theres Tony Tonester full CF wrapping service etc.. look up the " post your interior" thread and you will see pages of variations.. and then you can decide for yourself like an adult /thread.

Yes, I have seen both because I have owned both.. The vinyl is not a "photo" of cf like you say, it's textured and looks better to me because it does not add bulk to the dash and the one I had was more of a matte cf look. The vinyl is also very durable (given you don't get the really cheap stuff) and doesn't yellow, fade, scratch, or give off a glare.

I don't think you've seen dinoc or scotchprint vinyls. You're referring to the old school photo-finish CF vinyls.

There's still a difference as the vinyl doesn't have the smooth, deep, resin finish. But that also is what makes the stick-on kits look so bulky and fit poorly.

I've wrapped my waterfall and window switch covers with scotchprint and am happy with the look. If I did real CF, I would do complete replacement pieces rather than stick-ons.
