I agree with the balling list of parts you have already this is absurd, continue to ball outrageous paint!

It's not for me personally, but if it floats your boat why not? I'm just not into the whole flat finish thing. I remember years (well ok, decades) ago when a lot of the muscle car crowd started going to flat/satin black paint jobs. Looked like crap then and it still does now, imho. But like I said, if YOU like it then do it -- screw what everyone else thinks!

plasti dip is so played out now. it feels and looks like bad quality. better off going with a professional vinyl wrap which can be peeled off and looks way better.

yea the vinyl is porbably a better route even if it does cost more, washes up nicer and looks good if you have an experienced pro doing it.

this was all just a curiosity aspect as to what other people's views are on this "stuff".

Nismo will stay original!

Everyone that says bad quality is full of it, and has probably not ever seen plastidip. There's a company in Tampa that does full cars all the time, and they get rather high end vehicles to do it, and it turns out great. It's a great alternative, people just care too much about status to say it is. You can't make the stuff run, and as long as you don't puddle the plasti dip, it comes out smooth as the original finish, just matte.

The great thing about plasti-dip is if you don't like it after you put it on, you can just peel it off.....

.......and you will.

It looks incredible in pictures, and on small items that don't get close attention like emblems but on the whole car? No. I've yet to see rims painted plastidip that look good IN PERSON> they always look like trash.
Up close I guarantee all those car's posted look horrid, uneven paint jobs with fade spots, peeling edges around all the gaps, imperfections everywhere.

In photoshopped Internet images = win. In real life = fail.

I've seen quite a few people debate this, and while I hate to admit it, the results don't appear to be too bad in some instances. The Cadillac in the first picture looks great.

It's reversible which is cool, however I don't think anyone at this point has run Plasti Dip long enough on their car to know for sure if it's completely harmless for your paint. I also prefer a car with a nice shiny/glossy paint and clear, rather than matte. So personally I would not do this.

I could see using this on a drift missle or beater but not a car that has crap paint from the factory as it is.. Let alone Audi's or pricey Euro's

Let's go out and get a German import, then proceed to spray rubber paint all over it.

From a sole owner of Plasti dip on my Z,

I do NOT suggest this product. More in detail, I have white on my wheels with glossifer. I did several coats, just like I should.

I can speak for everyone to be honest. As many of you have stated, (think about it), you've posted pictures of vehicles RIGHT AFTER completing plasti dip on the vehicles. Even the videos online, yes they look nicely done.
Let me give you the reality of the product.

It is very hard to keep clean. Yes, I have been to a car wash and used pressure washer up close and it does very well as long as you don't hit the edge of your lip on the wheel or it`ll peel and then that wheel is done.
Wheels along take me a while to keep clean with this product, much less I'm wondering how in the world the buyers that spray their entire vehicle. I give them a week and they will want to tear it off.

Plasti-Dip is a VERY temporary item. Some have said "it's last 6-12 months+ and no problems.." I don't believe it. It can look nice.

From my opinion, Black is the only one that looks ok. I didn't say good or great, I said ok. White is horrible.

You would think after this post that I would not have it on my wheels, but I still do. (For now). because from far away it looks nice (i have a white Z). and i get compliments all the time because my Z is completely white/blacked out. I'm going to tear off the plasti dip on wheels soon, but trying to delay it.
Yes, up close it looks like crap on mine. and I clean my Z at least twice a week.

It't not even worth blowing your money or time. Everyone that sees a nice car wants to see it up close. So I get good compliments and not so good quite a bit...

Do it. As long as you take your time, and actually have the common knowledge of how to use a spray gun and how to layer your plasti-dip spray, it will come out very nice.

It's your car, it's your money. Don't listen to what other people have to say.
