Default Anyone have this issue with the trunk w/viper alarm?

When i purhcased my z a few months ago it came with an aftermarket viper alarm. With this viper alarm i cannot unlock my trunk to actually open it. Am i missing something here? Because since the day ive had my car i havent opened my trunk lol. Tired of putting groceries in the front seat lol Any input would help. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried holding the trunk button? Or pressing the button above the license plate while the car's unlocked?

On the aftermarket FOB (Viper) it only has lock, unlock, aux, and panic. I've tried all these buttons, even it different sequences and it did not unlock the trunk. I also have tried presson the button above the Licesce plate while unlocked. I have the stock nissan FOB but it is deactivated and doesnt work since the system is aftermarket now.

Ah, sorry. I don't have any experience with it. There's a manual release under the rear strut bar. Maybe the release mechanism is bad, not your security system?

Default trunk release

every installer sets it up differently. on my viper I have to hit the aux button twice, on the second time I hold the aux button and it pops the trunk, but mine is also set that if you disarm the alarm it unlocks the trunk as well so that you can push the button above the license plate. you may want to take it to an alarm place and see if there's a problem.

thanks
