I'm not sure if there's been a previous dicussion about this, but I've always wondered why some Zs have rear fenders and some don't. I know 03-05 are similar bodies, 06, 07-09 are similar, but it seems like even within the same years some have rear fenders, some don't does anyone have an answer? the 2 cars here are both 2005 models, both have a stock body, however one has the rear fender the other doesn't why is that? Thank you noob here

 

They're splash-guards. It was an option/included with some models.

Yup, mud flaps/splash guard.

 

Those are mud-flaps, not fenders.

 

I could be wrong, but I think they're not on any of the base models.

 

My 03 base had them. i think the ones you see w/o mud flaps were removed. i beleive they all came with mud flaps.
