Cool Merc C63 AMG CF vents on OEM bumper

By chance, I found out a new mod for the OEM front bumper.
I ordered a pair of CF vent covers made for the Merc C63 AMG.
The objective was to install at the sides of the OEM bumper.
They did not work.As I was test fitting,I moved the covers over to the
side reflector coves.Almost a perfect fit plus a new option to the usual clear/
blacked out reflector. The cost of the vents incl shipping was $139(e-bay).
Quality is some of the best CF work I've seen.Anyone interested in a different
stying option for their OEM bumper may want to check these out.I'm not able to install on my Z due to CF cowls already on my car.If interested,PM me
I'll give you info/pics on the vendor.Or,you can search e-bay for Carbon fiber
fender vents Mercedes C63.

You might want to post pics, Chargespeed also offers CF vents for Z bumpers as well.

I believe they mount where the reflectors are located.

You have enough tacked on vents, stop the madness.

Thumbs up Same position as the C63

The position would be the same as on the C63.The AMG model has vent/ducts
in the bumper. These are CF covers that go over the vents. The vents are functional on the Merc...since the openings face towards the rear, removal
of heat?At any rate, the vent "cover" sit in the side reflector crevices.
The covers cannot mount on a flat surface due to the fins on the bottom surface. They either have to fit in a opening(approx 4x7")or a recess like the reflector indents.Since I have Chargespeed CF cowls mounted in the reflector area, the fit is not perfect.Without the cowls(they have a ridge&thickness),I
believe the fit would be just about perfect.Possibly a bit of trim on the
inside fins. The curve of the pieces and proportions match the OEM bumper
like they were made for it.I would imagine it would be possible to make these functional with the proper ducting and to cut out part of the side reflector
area.My purpose is basically styling for the usual side reflector area on the
stock bumper.I may remove my CF cowls and install these if the fit is what I
think it will be.I'm testing on another Z.

The vent covers measure approx 5x9".The height to cover the reflector on the v3 bumper looks OK.However, the area from the rear of the reflector
opening towards the wheel well edge is much smaller than on the standard Z bumper. But if its around 2" ,it should fit.Furthermore, these units have some flex to help shape them onto
the surface if the curve is not spot on.3-M is already pre-installed
on the back.Looking at the Nismo v3 bumper, these vents would look sick!

lol,Thats what my wife said!
If you read my post,I said would not work on MY Z because of the
CF cowls on my reflector indents.Besides, the look of these, albeit they do look
fantastic and would really give a different look to the stock bumper, may not
go with my Amuse type fender vents. My point was to throw these out as a option for others to consider.IMO,seems a rather inexpensive mod for those
who wish to change the look of their stock bumper rather than buy an entire new aftermarket one...

Prolly so,however I've done just about everything there is to do with CF.
Not available, made the pieces! One thing about CF,does not photograph well.
