Default 380RS Pedal on a Base Z

Hello all. After research on the forum for a few nights, I have been getting different answers for my questions. I have a 2008 Base 350Z and am interested in getting the 380RS pedal as I Auto-X and plan on doing HPDE next year.

Here is what I have heard:

1. It fits perfect, I just need the 2 clips that z1auto sells as an option with the pedal and will have no issues.

2. It fits, but the pedal has play, and I would need to modify the pedal assembly or pedal for it to fit properly since the base has a different gas pedal assembly.

I am wondering if 2 is only on older models if it is true or if this information is true at all.

I know it might look weird to have 2 rubber pedals and then the 380RS gas pedal, so if anybody has done this please post pictures.

Thanks to everybody in advance!

There is some slight looseness where the top clip-on part of the pedal fits on the throttle lever shaft. You can leave it as is, and probably never have it bother you, or just wrap that part of the shaft with a few turns of electrical tape before you clip the pedal on. You can see the difference here:

FWIW, I ended up replacing all the pedals - bought them fro one of the vendors, but can't remember which one. Check eBay, too:

An alternative might be to get the Autovation Technology aluminum pedals. I have had them on my Z since sometime in 2004. Their website is http://www.autovation.net/

Here is a pic of my pedals.

It looks like they could be OEM. I like 'em .
