Dr. Colorchip pictures
Hey guys. I got my 03 enthusiast a few months ago and I came to the conclusion that the previous owner liked to go offroading behind a dualie due to the insane road rash on the front bumper. I was contemplating whether or not I should just buy a new front bumper or try and touch it up. Since Colorchip wouldn't be a huge loss if it didn't work ($50) I decided to try it. I have a few pictures of both before and after and I am decently happy with the results. The chips are obvious and visible from up close, but if your just a typical passer-by you wouldn't notice it nearly as much. I've only done one layer for the chips on my bumper and I plan on doing it again in the next couple days or so to really make it look better. Since I haven't found any one here that has posted good pictures of before and after, I decided that I would be the first!! Let me know what you guys think
After. Remember this appliance doesn't fill in the chips, it just paints them. From here they're a lot less noticeable. From further it looks tons better

Whatever you can do to extend the life of the current paint is encouraged. A new $500 repaint is going to get eaten up quickly, and they tend to add up with this particular car.

Looks good!
I may give it a try.
I've not seen how this "appliance" works.
I do know that the OEM touch up paint is not a
perfect match for the car.I usually have to mix
other colors(I have a silverstone, mix in some silver to lighten)
to get a better match.In addition,areas like bumpers&spoilers
may not be exactly the same as the body. The OP was
fortunate to have a black car.Its easy to match. It would be
interesting to see how a more complex color like PPW,with pearl
undertones would come out?

Metallic paints are much more difficult to match and dual stage paints, Nogaro Red is single and non metallic.
