So how often do you REALLY use these mods? Were they just a novelty that you did and took the picture of for the thread or do you use them regularly?
Serious question/poll. Jimmies may be rustled.
Also what brand of iron mod rings are you guys using?
The reason I ask is because I am inspired bu the modded headlight threads on here but then i think to myself how much time i could put into mine and making them unique but I wonder if I would ever actually use them?

Im thinking about doing new headlights, where ya gonna get them done at? i was gonna go with twistedhouzings. Supposed to be pretty good. but id probably use em pretty often.
these mods i think are far from rice honestly. theyre quite unique and a feature on most cars that cost 7 times what the 350z does. Ferrari, Aston Martin, etc etc...Its a fantastic look as well.
7 dollar ebay led strips are rice. Blu led replacement bulbs are rice.
Modified headlights using ccfl rings and inverters is using better than OEM quality items in most cases.
Keep in mind, Nissan left the housings clear for a reason and most certainly cut the extra lighting out for budget reasons before production.
demon eye mods will not be used often.
As others said above, halos are activated by the parking lights usually.. so thye get used daily.

sorry for the dbl post, but OP, if you can do a wire tuck, you should not pay one DIME in labor to have your headlights modified.
Its extremely easy. There is no hard part. There is no trick part... my DIY covers everything.. nothing will sneak up on you lol.
Retrofitsource.com, morimoto halos 90mm, done.

I only use mine when I'm driving around town with parking lights on. For long trips i turn them off, or when driving at night. I'm pretty sure any other color other than white or amber on the front of your car is illegal anyways, so its safe not to run it all day

I'll probably do the demon eye mod and a few other things but may not use them. Would hate to have to open the lights up again.

The ironman/halo mod I used as a DRL seeing I also have the cool white led reflector...
As a DRL it's very classy
The demon eye is for shenanigans!
Little kids go apes nuts over them!

Halos are a awesome, demon eyes I have them connected to the headlights but have yet to wire them up, just for show mainly. If you actually do the headlight mods (paint, halos) don't even bother with Sti clear lens. I found no difference from the old lens and the new lens, don't bother with the waste of money.
?
The sti r lens is a huge difference in lighting cut off any flicker...the only mod u can do that's actually 300% functional improvement lol..
Dunno... certainly not arguing witcha.
But as for the advice not to add the 50 Bux for the authentic sti r premium quality lens...well... id certainly say id opt to do the upgrade in all cases.

I'm new to 350z and am not a pro nor understand much about cars. Question is where can I buy the ironman demon eye headlights ? Is it legal to drive around with those (WA) ? How easy is it to install for a person that has never even changed oil in a vehicle ?
Well i cant say that i have ever changed the oil on my car. Dont have a way to get under it. But i did pull the headlights apart painted them installed the halos or iron man mod. IT took about a day and a half from start to finish. Its not very hard to do just time consuming. Take you time do it right the first time and it isnt so bad.
