Default Questions about window tinting.

I am going to get my windows tinted next week and after thinking about it I wondered how they tint the windows on the 350z.I am a bit concerned about the way the window goes up just a bit after you close the door.I dont want a small space at the bottom of the window that is not tinted.LOL

Don't worry that won't happen. There are different ways they get around this. The most common way is while doing the side windows, they have someone hold the door switch in while the door is open. (the switch covered by a black rubber boot that is in the door frame) This switch does several things.....it turns on interior lights, sends a door ajar signal if you are driving without having the door fully closed and it also sends a signal to lower and raise the window 10-20mm when the door is opened and closed.

Give it a try. Open your door and then push in the door switch, you will see your window go back to the fully raised position.

I love my tint.......only wish it was legal to have it.

theres a small screw by that black rubber switch. if you remove the screw the window won't lower =)

they should still get the tint a cm or so below the seal even with the window in the fully up position. this is done by pulling the seal back or removing the door panel. this keeps it so the seal isnt rubbing the edge every single time the door opens.
