Hi, the chrome finish on my OEM nissan badge on the rear is fading so I want to remove it and get it painted gloss black.
I can't find any DIY's or anything on how to get it off properly. The two holes that it leaves are what worries me. Are the holes there because there are two screws holding down the emblem or what?
Thanks!
I'm going to use a hair dryer to heat it up and slowly use a fishing line to take it off, if there aren't any screws or something.

There are no screws for the rear or front emblems. The rear emblem has 2 small holes
that are used to properly seat the emblem. The use of fishing line will remove the
emblem. You'll have to clean both the emblem and rear deck surface to reinstall.
Its a small area. You can use Goo Gone or,3-M adhesive remover.Use strips of 3-M
tape to reapply.
If you are painting your emblem, the use of DupliColor adhesion promoter as a primer coat
will help with a lasting finish.
