Question Cloudy area behind STI-R lense. What could be causing it?

As the title states, just noticed tonight that my 2006+ passenger side headlight output was dimmer than usual. When I looked at it, it seemed to be cloudy with a VERY slight tinge of a milky yellowish effect. The cloudy effect is only contained behind the lens area itself from what it seems. When the headlights are off, there is a very clear difference between the driver side (looking thru the sti lens) and the pass side which seems foggy. My headlights are modded with halo rings, painted housing, and a single LED in each projector for the demon eye. When the halo's are on (linked with parking lights) everything seems clear. There is no smell of burning plastic nor smoke arising from the passenger headlight.

Could this be a result of my bulb going bad or could the halo ring or a subsequent wire be slowly melting a plastic piece inside the shroud or wires contacting to cause the shielding to burn off leaving the foggy look inside the shroud itself?

I plan to take the headlight off and pull the ballast off and see whats going on without disassembling the whole headlight again. Any input is appreciated, thanks!

*edit* I also have the STI-r lenses, so when looking thru, I can see clearly thru one projector and its cloudy in the other. As if I had the stock projector lenses.

As an HID "dies," it starts turning pink.

Could be some corrosion/oxidation inside.
