Ah I see, didnt know, i didn't care to read the entire thread. The black strip is an audi r8 thing and doing it on a z screams poser/ricer. But if im being honest, from an aesthetic pov, it actually doesn't look that bad on that silver z.

yea and thats where i'm at ...i hate posers/ricers as much as everyone else does. I dont want it to look like an r8 but i understand i have the idea from an r8, nor do i want people thinking i did it because "i wish my car was an r8"

Its more for me and trying to push the scene or whatever you call it. I feel my Z is a little different and me and still done tastefully and be honest in Jersey is respected pretty well.

keeping it real i might just do it and if to much hate or if i dont like it i'll take it off. I just like hearing constructive crictiscim *sp

Kind of contradicting yourself here and there. Honestly man, its YOUR car and YOUR money. Mod it as you please. You say your worried about what the 'scene' will think, but why? Unless your standing around with other owners talking about your Z, when people see your car roll by and judge it your not going to have that chance to say 'the R8 inspired me, but i'm not trying to make my Z an R8'.

Most of the opinions/feedback you've received here has been a majority 'no'. So straight from other Z owners there you have it. If you do decide to go through with it, do it right and tastefully....who knows maybe it'll come out ok

I personally think you should invest the time/money into fixing the rash on the rims, the paint on the rear, gas cap (either open, or bent badly?) and possibly the headlights (looked fogged up)...

I think it could look really good. Just make sure you get the LED's around the headlight too! Man your car will be the most famous one of the forum. Magazines and shops will start calling you to see if they can sponsor your ride.

So, I guess before you do it, the only question you have to ask yourself is "am I ready for the stardom this will bring?"

If you are prepared for the life of a celebrity I say go for it.

your right about it being in my car..but i like to come on here because you usually get the truth and not "oh it looks good" when they really dont like it in person

if you are thinking of doing it in vinyl, then just do it, roll with it for a bit, remove it, and on to the next one. not that big of a deal.
do i like it? no - but again, not a big deal to you or me. I personally like your car a lot without it.

do vinyl and post up pics, i really think it could look good on your car, seems like you could pull it off. Overall shape and lines of ur z with the body kit kinda look similar to the lines of the r8. Only thing I would change are the side skirts. I don't like how the sides don't look perfectly horizontal and a bit concave/flexed as opposed to those on the r8. It follows the lines of the black strip if you know what I mean. I'd like to see this chopped on a nismo

There is no functional benefit to painting your car to look like an R8. Less is more. Don't do it.

No one touched on my sarcasm. Just to be clear. This idea sucks.
