Rear Tail Lights
Does anyone make a rear tail light kit with the Alltezza style lense but with carbon fiber instead of the plastic "chrome" look?
I have seen this exact thing for other cars.

Nope, just the same reason that you cannot find such "mods" on cars like Porsches, or Mercedes-Benzes. Because people who spend 30K on a car do not wish to make their investment look like a rig.

ummm... why get altezza lights on a Z??
ricers do it to make their cars (civics, accords, preludes) look more expensive... but on a Z? it's already MORE expensive than and more classy than an altezza/IS300 to begin with
that's like a porsche replacing it's emblems with an "H"

what WOULD be cool are LED taillights...
but not the ones like clearcorners (no offense)... I'm picturing something like the g35... keep the stock lenses, but replace the bulb area with a circle of LEDS so you only notice them when they're lit... that would be sweet...
ares?

few problems actually.
firstly. not enough LEDs. if they were all luxeons maybe. but your number would still be close, and that 300$ per light just for parts.
and second, the real problem. I cant get the damn things open. I dont know if you can cook them like headlights, but it doesnt fit in my oven either way. I tried.
I had to hack that thing open just to screw around with it.

you know i'm just reminded the fact that our tailights suck at night! The reason is because there is nothing original that differenciate itself from the rest. i can spot a g35's @ss from a mile away. I can spot a eclipes @rse from a mile away...but the Z...the Z i cannot only during the day time...sigh.
