Default Trip computer spedometer is off

My trip computer is usually set on revs, but I was playing with it the other day and had it set on the speedometer. I noticed that when I was doing 80, it only read 66 (KPH). I accelerated more and it barely climbed at all. Is there a way to reset the trip computer?

Also, when being towed by the engine in first, the analog speedometer is at 0 when I am doing around 5kph. I hit the gas and it takes a second or so for the speedometer to climb. Is this normal? All the autos I have had in the past would read like 5kph etc when using 1st gear to pull me in traffic.

Thanks in advance

The trip computer speedometer display in my '08 has always agreed with my regular speedometer, and it's within 1mph of what my GPS speedometer shows across a wide range of speeds. I've never noticed much of a lag between a change in speed and a change in the TC readout.

I always use the TC speedometer instead of the regular one. I even made a magnifier to make it easier to read.

We it probably has to do with the plethora of electrical issues with my car. I think the previous owner tried to install a stereo or something and soldered the wiring with a blow torch or flame thrower.

It really isn't a big deal. The analog speedometer seems to be accurate according to my cell gps. I just like to nit pick over the little things I suppose.
