High Temp. Brake Caliper paint on plenum. Ideas?
I started painting plenum because I'd rather not spend a bunch of money or time to polish it or pay someone to polish it to get a chrome bling look that I'm not a fan of. I used high temperature brake caliper paint and I choose silver to get the color as close as it would look the first day it came out of the factory but I did a crappy job because I didn't want to take off the engine cover and the sway bar again after the hell it took when installing my plenum spacer (idk why I never decided to paint it then when the bar was removed). Has anyone had any experience using brake caliper paint on the plenum? If you have any pics can I see them so I can copy your ideas lol? Noblesse oblige, thanks in advance.

I remove mine then I took a wire brush wheel/drill and some engine degreaser and took all the grease, grime and crap off of it then hit it with some high temp primer then 3 coats of aluminum color high temp paint.....IMO it looks better than when it came from the factory

you don't have to use just brake caliper paint on high temp things. spray a base of high temp primer. next find a place that will put auto paint in a rattle can, or use whatever paint you want (auto paint just looks better). then use high temp clear coat. i did this on my brake calipers and 20000 miles later they still look good with no peeling.
