Default Door Handle....Broke'd'd

My girl gets in the car and pulls on the handle to shut the door...except when it closed, the entire handle broker off. She looked at me scared for her life. hah

The top piece looks like it completely snapped the bracket that would snap into the door... while the end of it. there is a bolt with a closed end.

Anyone know how I can fix this? Or do I have to disassemble to door?

just replace the handle assembly.

most likely the bolt that goes through the top portion of the handle....is still in the door frame. The plastic around the bolt head snapped. Its a 10mm head. The silver cap pops off to expose.

mine broke as well, I jimmy-rigged it back on a couple of times for some unsuspecting passengers who thought I was going to kill them when they saw the look I was giving them, until I started laughing lol. what's a good place for fairly inexpensive interior z parts like the passenger door grip?

I ordered one a few days ago from Courtesy Nissan. It was ~$26 + shipping. I was a little pissed Nissan wouldn't just give me the part for free, since my car is still covered by the warranty, but at least is wasn't too expensive.

True, but you shouldn't ever need that trim piece. The part of the handle (or "grip" as Nissan calls it) which breaks is the top connection point, which is deep inside the door panel. When my new piece arrives, I'm going to look for a way to reinforce the part which breaks.
