Any tips on painting the projector shroud? Specifically what to do about the "stripes" along the side? Is it easier to mask off or just paint everything and sand/scrape off afterwards? They're kinda tiny and recessed so it seems like either option would be challenging to do cleanly.

I'll be doing this when I get a set of depo's since people have noted that the paint is a little too thin on the shroud.

I just used masking tape, a new Xacto blade, and a steady hand. Its annoying, but better than trying to remove unwanted paint without damaging wanted paint.

 

Use thin carbon fiber (.25mm) pieces instead of dealing with painting.
Has adhesive bracing.Can be cut with shears.
