Removing Rear Strut Brace?
I took that big, heavy silver and black thing out from under my hood, so now I have more room for groceries on my Z-Speed undertray. But, now when I get in the car and turn the key, nothing happens. Did I do something wrong?
Clearly. But I laughed.
I effing use it every time I can. "Nope, can't pick you up at the airport, I've got this huge stabilizer thingie in the back of my car designed to keep me on the road in hairy situations. Hell, they even gave me a diagram to show me how to fit two golf bags back there."

I wonder why some people buy a sports car, because it is a sports car not a suburban or truck or hatch!
I also want to remove the rear strut bar. If theres a new way to removing it, im definitely going to look into it.
LOL @ you guys making fun of OP though. I bet most of you dont track your cars anyways so whats the point of it?

POLISH ROLL CAGE
I don't need to go on the track to know that the body roll from "removing the rear arch thing" on a fun run will suck mother fawning arsecakes.
Have you ever gone above 70 through a turn? Trust me our cars are more than capable of doing so. You don't need to be a track driver to appreciate the performance of a stiff well balance chassis. To remove it is just going to fawn up the best thing on this car. You bought it knowing it was a 2 seater with a small trunk so that it would be fun to drive. Now you want to remove a rather important part to that handling component so you can gain another 4 inches of space?
FAWK you, sell that car before you damage it, and buy something that is as practical as you need it.
New Z owners have no respect for the vehicle and have no idea what they're doing.

In all seriousness, I would recommend removing the arch thing to free up some trunk space. Just cut it out with a reciprocating saw, go to Wal-Mart and get 2 gallons of bondo to fill the holes, and class it up with some plasti-dip after sanding it to a fine finish.
Just to be on the safe side I would remove some weight from the front end to balance it out. I would start with removing the seatbelts, airbag and possibly even the front brake calipers.
Happy Motoring!
