Unhappy Veilside V3 Wide Fender Fuel Door!!!

Hi guys could anyone using this Veilside V3 wide body kit tell me how to install that piece of fuel door came with the kit? My body shop cannot figure out how to install it? Do I need to take off the original fuel door to install that part? But my shop said they cannot figure out how that works or how to install it? Can anybody here kindly tell me or teach me how? Thanks!

Here is my suggestion. Make the oem/veilside overlay work without a hing. Maybe have it become removable with a key ( you can get a tumbler like the one in the rear cubby) or something similar. That way your not worried about a hinge. Just remove the cap and fuel up.
