Duraflex is crappy. You'll spend more getting it to fit properly than buying a better kit.
Get ready to be flamed.

I'm pretty sure VIS makes a replica as well and most of their kits are decent.

Speaking from personal experience with a buddy's g35, duraflex does not make quality products. Fitment was off but we made it work. Once we got it fitted, it was fine. Looked good painted. But zero structural integrity. We pulled it off and added fiberglass 3-4 times.

Very important to note. On my Z @ high speeds you will tear crap apart and find out the hard way! Little things like the oem fender liners might not work and you don't get modified fender liners in these kits.... Be careful. If you don't drive fast then it's ok

I would stay away from dura flex even if it was free. I purchased a kit from one of the vendors on here and it was not something I would do again. Don't make the same mistake others have done before you.

Good to read this thread.

I was going to buy a duraflex NV2 bumper off Extreme Dimensions because it was cheap as heck through them. (like $330 shipped).

Looks like I'll be going with VIS after all.

I have experience with both Shine Auto and Duraflex. Shine is one of the best next to OEM, I've also had pretty good results with Duraflex. ED has progressed significantly over the years with customer service to back it.

Their residual rep through the years is what's haunting them now. Body shops have also been keen to this and have been gouging customers on "making it fit" when in fact it takes very little work.

Where can you get it other than direct from shine? I've looked and don't see it anywhere else.

Hello Boaz,

I am the forum rep for Extreme Dimensions and would be more than happy to answer your questions.

Just to give you a bit of history on this kit, we have sold 160 of these front bumpers, 113 Sides skirt sets and just under 200 rear bumpers. This is one of our best selling kits for the Z. If there are any complaints on our parts, we only ask that the owner of the parts contact us directly to resolve any matters.

As per the forum user who wrote " .. it was complete garbage," this member previously acknowledged that they were pleased with the quality of our parts, and had issues with the installation by their body shop. Here is an exact quote from the said member :

So we are not sure why this member went back and disparaged our company and our parts when they made the above comments. As you can see, they are contradicting each other.

We understand there will be questions regarding our parts, but in order for all sides to be happy with the results of the parts, we ask that the owner do some research, and can even ask us directly if there are questions for installation.

TL;DR? shoot me a PM and i'll hook you up with a quote.

Being a prior body/paint tech, I can't even recall how many times I've seen someone bring in a body kit and then freak out when they hear the price for installation. If you buy a cheap quality kit, the money you save will be used when you get your bill at the shop. And it goes for installation price as well. If you get a cheap shop or a body tech lacking experience you'll drive home unhappy or down the road when you start having problems.

There's a few variables on whether or not your car looks like *** in the end

I've had quite a bit of experience when it comes to Extreme Dimensions and VIS. I have ZERO complaints when it comes to ED.

The last ED kit I had was a full kit with wide fenders on my old 240sx. Everything fit pretty damn good right out of the box. Every kit I've touched or seen installed personally has fit good, if not great.

The last VIS kit I had experience with was also for a 240sx. Front bumper was the only thing that fit alright. Passenger side skirt had to have an inch cut out to get the length right and the rear bumper's exhaust cut out had to be completely reshaped, it was wrapped like a hell.

With all that said, I have never sent a kit to a body shop. Around here we almost always do the installs ourselves. Sometimes they go to a shop for paint, but never fitment.
