Default modding stock driver seat height

unfortunatly am only 5'6 maybe 5'7 and with the stock chair maxed out with as high as possible i still sit abit low. The other day i laughed at a 350z driver cause you can only see about half his head. i thought thats got to suck but now i notice that i sit the same way so inorder to not look like a midget in my car i try and sit as straight up as possible but that only goes so far. my question is can i raise the chair? maybe put washers on the brackets to raise the chair higher? anyone else besides me with this problem.

P.s no i dont have my seat slanted all the way back like am ghetto. its fairly straight

Do you have a problem with vision? I'm 5'7 and sit at the lowest position possible. I feel the most comfortable like that and have no problem seeing.

Be careful with modifying your seat mounts. Adding washers or shims will put more leverage on the high-strength bolts that secure the seat. It may also alter the path of the airbag or other safety systems. Most Z drivers just adapt their position to make it work, rather than mod the seat...

Not trying to sound like a smart ***, but who cares what you look like to others when you are driving? If you can see properly, and are comfortable at your current seating position, why change it?

If you are having trouble seeing properly, have you though about using a booster seat?

Even at 6'1 I look really low in the car, it is due to the tall doors. If your not getting girls, I doubt it is because you look short while driving your car.

Try putting the seat up straighter.

I'm 5'7" as well, and I have no problems with the height of the seat.

With the seat fully raised and the seat back in a fairly upright position i believe a even a 4 ft person would be able to see well... maybe stop trying to sit leaned back so far.

6'4"

Enjoy a natural seating position!

You can try finding longer metric grade 8 bolts, but if you look at the Nissan OEM bolts they are pretty large with a tapered tip (prevents cross-threading). Difficult at best to find something similar.

My wife is 5'3 and had no problems in hers. As far as height, looked the same , just she was a lot closer to the wheel.

<-- 5'3" and I don't sit at the highest position when my buddy lets me drive his Z. Like Ressasmak's wife, I just look closer to the wheel than a regular height individual lol.

A LOT of cars have a high waistline, which make it look like the driver is short.
