Does this look correct?

I guess I'm not able to post pictures yet, but here a link to a picture.

http://www.mileskbaron.com/stuff/hatch1.jpg

The hatch is CLOSED.. According to the service records the struts were replaced recently, but this just doesn't look right to me. I hear some noise being generated by air coming in this gap too, although the rubber barrier does prevent the air from coming into the car.

This is on a 2003 350Z. Any thoughts?

Thanks in Advance

Miles

This is the answer. This is what it should look like.

These brackets are sometimes installed upside down if you're not paying attention. It'll make the strut sit higher causing the misaligned hatch.

Good Call !!! I'm guessing from experience...

Well THANK YOU SIR !!!!

I can only hope that EVERY repair or mod goes that smoothly. They lined right up, hatch locks and releases much nicer too.

I can see how the mistake can be made, when attaching... by not paying attention, but you'd think it would be noticed when checking ones work.

Anywho... Thanks Cux350z... you official ROCK !!!!!
