Default 03-05 vs 06-08 Fitment

This may be one of those questions that has been beaten to death, but I cant seem to find a solid answer.

Will a 03-06 lip fit my 2008?
Or are the bumpers slightly different?

I seem to find more lips and bumpers that are 03-06

Thanks!
Cheers,
- Matt

An 03-05 will not fit an 06+, and vice versa.

03-05 is slightly different than 06-08.

The 06-08 bumper is a bit wider near the front wheel wells and also has a dip in the center of the lip. See below...

03-05

06-08

Ahhh now I see. So what would happen if I were to buy a bumper that is meant to fit a 03-06? Would it be too narrow?
I was told once that my fender liners wouldnt line up, is that all?

Why would you buy a bumper from the older model to put on your car?

What are you trying to do here? If you explain your motive maybe we can help you a little more.

Whew!
If I understand your post correctly...
A LIP DESIGNED TO FIT A O3-05 Z(FIRST SERIES--THE HOOD DOES NOT HAVE A BULGE.
HAS GROVES)WILL NOT FIT THE LAST SERIES,06-08 Z.
Curious, what lip are you looking at installing on your car?

Well, long story short, my poor baby was involved in a hit-and-run

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/61489055@N05/12730556204/" title="Poor-Car by Matthew Leahey, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7397/12730556204_df1a6491e1_c.jpg" width="800" height="534" alt="Poor-Car"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/61489055@N05/12730075825/" title="Poor-Car2 by Matthew Leahey, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3777/12730075825_fcef1ee6b7_c.jpg" width="800" height="534" alt="Poor-Car2"></a>

So I need a new fender. While I am in the paint booth I figure I might as well get a lip and get that painted as well, possibly side skirts too.

I happen to find a guy locally selling a Vertex kit, and Im toying with the idea of purchasing that off of him (front bumper and skirts, link to pics below)

So I was just curious as to what the differences are before I go buy a lip or bumper that doesnt fit!

03-05 Differences look wise between 06-08 are:

Front bumper
Hood
Headlights
Taillights
Wheels

everything else is the same. Well except interior. some slight changes there too.

You could swap them, but you would also have to change the wheel well inner fender liners to make it fit, otherwise there would be a gap.

Gotcha. Well my question has been answered, hope this thread helps someone else one day

In the meantime, are there any good places for front lips? Most of the time google points me towards eBay and theyre all the same huge "Nismo-style", and I dont want that haha.
