Default Alcantara steering wheel pictures!

Hi everyone,

Just figured I'd show the steering wheel I just had rewrapped by Dallas Custom Steering wheels.

The wheel is wrapped in dark charcoal with medium Grey accents and stitching. The stitching is baseting stitching, similar to the BMW tricolor stitching. Also I had them put additional padding to make the wheel slightly thicker.

Wheel is going on my 2004 SS performance m6

Will post installed pictures when I get the time to put in on.

I agree with Drummer Girl, it does look good, shame the 350Z wheel was not covered in Alcantara as standard. I wonder how much it would cost to get it covered in it?

It looks good but it's a PITA to maintain, esp for a production car. After a while the Alcantara wears down and get shiny, the oils in your hand break down the material and it loses it's good looks. The reason race cars have it is due to its grip properties but you have to remember that when you're tracking a car you're wearing gloves that help even more.

Finally got some time to put it in today and couldn't be happier with how it came out. I had a couple pieces of sample 3m di-noc laying around and wrapped the silver trim.

As for the install it was very straight forward after getting the needed driver bits.

Attached before and after pictures here to show the change
