Help with passenger seat recline problem.
hey guys i am hoping someone can help me with this. this weekend i had the carpet in my 2004 ZR fixed/replaced. in the process of this the seats were taken out. now i notice that the automatic switch on the back of the passenger seat does not work. the side buttons work fine to move the seat backwards and forwards and also to recine it. but the automatic switch on the back of the passenger seat does not work. i looked under the seat and i do see a plug that is not plugged in could this be the problem? this plug is coming from the chasis under the car. any help would be appreciated it thank you.
The plug you are seeing is probably there for the heated seat option. Does your car have heated seats? If so, are they working?
By "automatic switch" do you mean the lever you lift to move the seat forward? If so, that is a mechanical device, not electric. Something has become disconnected in the apparatus. Either look around underneath while pulling the lever to see what is going on (may need to remove the seat), or bring the car back to whomever did the carpet, and insist they make it right.

Hey caidrac thanks for the reply I actually figured it out there was a plug hiding up in the seat area when I plugged the one coming from the chasis to this one everything started working fine.
