well
see below for the damage done yesterday in atlanta.
wife was driving home, high school kid in daddy's range rover hit her from behind while she was stopped.
anyone know a killer body shop in atlanta?
im nervous about them matching the brickyard paint..
what could possibly be damaged underneath the bumper?
what is this going to do to the diminished value of the car? should i go see one of those DV claims specialists?
last question.. the car is leased. assuming i get the car fixed to my satisfaction (and the dealer's) and i decide to turn the car in at the end of the lease, can they get me for any diminished value?

The computer systems used today to mix the paint are phenomenal.........since the car is fairly new the existing paint has not faded. I think the paint match will be okay.
Read your lease agreement to see if it mentions "diminished value" due to an accident. After reading it, then talk to the dealer or leasing company to see what will happen. Mention what you read if they give you contradicting information.
Once you find out any extra cost to you that this accident will cause (over and above the repair), make certain that you insist that the kid's insurance company makes restitution NOW. Do not settle with them until they agree to this extra restitution.
If the insurance company balks at this settlement, ask for a personal meeting at their office.........buy your wife a neck brace.......and have her wear it to the meeting. (j/k)

As long as the car is fixed properly (genuine Nissan parts) and to your satisfaction, you won't have a problem with the leasing company when you turn it in. But make sure you go to a good body shop who does quality work. I'd hesitate to use a dealer's shop unless you know what kind of work they do. The concern would be that they do volume work, cheaper than others (to the dealer at least) and don't spend the time or have the perfectionist attitude that other shops have. Find a place by asking people in the regional forums for recommendations and spend the time to go talk to a few places and see their work.
