I currently have halogen and I bought a set of painted headlights that have been converted to hid off craigslist for cheap.

However, looking at the plugs on the new lights, I have no idea what I'm supposed to plug into the 2 prong spot on the ballast. My current lights only have the one plug that goes into the headlights.

Do I need to buy some kind of wiring harness adapter that connects to my existing headlight plugs and goes to the ballast?

Every thread I can find about hid conversion just says it was really easy, so I assume I'm missing something incredibly stupid.

 

You plug the low beam plug from the back of the bulb to the ballast.

Then you plug the ballast into your new low beam bulb.

 

Hmm, ok. I will take a look at it again.
