I have always wonder how efficient the MCR hood is, in term of venting the heat out, to drop a few degree inside the hood. You should do a comparasion test to see the temperature changes between stock vs MCR hood and make a post on this site. In my book, the MCR hood is a winner in look, and if it is functional like it should, I would doubt any hood on the market can beat it.

When I talked to guy at bulletproof, he said with hot engine you can see the heat waves pouring out of the vents like when at a stop light, etc. I just read a ton of old and new posts basically saying this same thing regarding their vented hoods; lower temps at the track, etc.

I just read about the guy who owns Matchless Crowd Racing, Sinichi Kobayashi; he's one of the very best and sought after car builders and tuners in Japan and is dialed in to overall performance of anything he produces; I'd imagine that this aero hood is functional under most any conditions.

Something tells me I might be the next guy to join the MCR crowd. The LTH in my HR are generating way more heat than the OEM headers and test pipe I had on before.

Hey Blue, may I ask what you paid for the MCR hood (including shipping)?

I'm not sure, reason is that bulletproof's price includes shipping from Japan, I will probably need to pay an extra $175+ for freight shipping from Cali once they get it there (Hawthorne, CA) to my house in Ut. At least that is what the rep. told me when I ordered it. *maybe approx. $500 shipping from Japan.

When I bought the Bride seats, I went through Nengun Performance, prices are a lot lower, but then you pay all the extra fees (was $150 just to use my card) for shipping from Japan; so my seats shipping FedEx air were close to $600, so it all turns out similar price as an American Company's price when it's all said and done. Bulletproof's price is very good IMO. You should order one; we'll get a group of us on this site hehe!

**Edit: Sorry, I spaced out your actual question! The price was $1,150 including shipping; like I said, they told me that most likely will be a later shipping fee from CA once it arrives there. Still a good deal. Nengun's price for that hood is good also and I almost bought from them since the seat deal went so well, but you don't know shipping costs with them until you are ordering, plus I decided it may be easier to deal with a US company in case of problems plus Bulletproof is one of the top JDM importers especially MCR.

If this MCR hood sells at $1,000 shipped in a group buy. I will be the first one on the list.

Some good news. I just talked to the person that I purchased mine through and explained this ^ to him. He just got back to me a few minutes ago; a few items: I cannot publicly give you guys any info. of "deals", etc. You need to PM me for info. I can't post possible deal prices.

The guy that I purchased the hood from is a real nice guy and there "IS" some exciting news on this, especially "If" we can get 10+ people to order; I think you would get good news personally whether 10+ or not. You can PM me, I'll give you contact info, my name, etc. and you can find out what he can do for you personally because he now knows what I have told him.

This isn't for my benefit except for seeing potentially a group of us with this head turning hood on our cars and knowing that I did a good "pitch" to bulletproof; they would be able to place a larger order direct to MCR as a result.

Personally, I can't wait to have this hood on my car. Please just PM me and maybe pass the word to others to do the same; would be well worth it for each of you.

There are several guys (Real Men) on the site in just a short period of time that are interested, let's keep this thing a rollin' and more will benefit $$ wise, plus having a hood on your car that will be a show piece by itself!
