guys picture this!

when you go to close your door, but you don't close it strong enough it leaves that little gap and its still open and by the steering wheel the red light pops up. well that's happening when im driving

when im driving i hit a bump on the road or im going fast and turning the door does that. i open and close the door several times while driving and it still happeing.

do you think its the metal piece by the vin number on the driver side?

 

Check and make sure your hatch is shut all the way too. Just for good measure Happened to me once and it turned out it was the hatch.
