Default Under Body Protection!!!!! Help no scrapes

I want to lower my stock suspension 06 z but I live in an area where drive ways are steep and pot holes are deep. I was wondering if there is something I can add underneath the front and rear of the vehicle to protect it from the scrapes it will encounter just from the daily driving. Is there something like a skid plate? Really want to lower my car but do not want it to get trashed.
Any Suggestions?!

Sport cars like the Z don't have skid plates, although Nissan designed the Z33 with such minimal front and rear overhangs that most damage will be avoided. But lowering your car will expose it to greater damage over speed bumps, driveways and potholes. My Z is only about 1" lower than stock and I have to be careful to avoid obstacles when possible. Otherwise, there's really nothing on the aftermarket that will add much protection to the underside of your car.

Thanks dkmura for a helpful response. I was just wondering if there was anything because I know when I lower it is going to get damaged don't want the bumper to crack or anything, just wanted to see if there was anything you guys knew about to protect the bottom.

ps I don't know how to delete the other post it was clearly by accident

Any idea what this is? Will this do the trick made out of aluminum

Not sure, isn't that what they use to make beer cans?

This will do nothing from bottoming out. It's just a shield for dirt/water

Having the underbody shroud also helps with underbody areodynamics. It helps guide warm air out of the engine compartment. But you're right about impact resistance, it won't help protect from impacts under the car.

It will help slightly on fwd impact , it will help when going over large objects ( I tore my TBW undertray open during some high speed off-roading ) but it's not really what you are wanting.

A mild drop with 18's and properly sized tires, you will be fine unless you have a low hanging lip on your bumper.

I would keep your stance how it is ... I'm lowered and I scrape on everything - I mostly scrape the middle of the car, not the front nor the back...

but it sounds like your mind is made up...

GT Spec makes a bottom side chassis brace that does a pretty good job catching **** off the top of the asphalt.

Default Underbody scrapes

TRY THESE....z speed shroud and tanabe frame brace.....frame brace guards tranny but will scrape over speed bumps unless you cut the mounting "shoulders" down to the minimal level...came red, powder coated blue.

F1 cars actually have a sacrificial titanium rail across the floor and Indycars use wood.

Also, the ZSpeed undertray is a great product and one of my favorite mods, so I'd highly recommend one. The part pictured above, by TBW, is a low-quality ripoff product, and I wouldn't support such an @sshole with my business.
