Smile Bat's Front Lip Overlay(PICS)

Well, since I'm holding off on an aftermarket front lip for the time being, I decided to make an Overlay for the stock one. I liked the way it turned out. Gives the illusion that the grill opening is bigger, more aggressive looking .

damn looks good. Will the production kit extend to both edges? I noticed a little gap. Also how hard is it to apply?

Wow Andy........you just keep thinking up new ideas, don't you? Do they make vinyl with a carbon fiber type design? You could make a "poor man's vinyl carbon fiber overlay design kit".......front lip, center pillars........ endless possibilities. hehe

they do make a vinyl with carbon fiber design, not sure if Bat has one like it.. I have tried this before and failed. The key is to cut out the vinyl that goes with the curve of our lip. I will be VERY VERY interested if you have a carbon fiber vinyl cut out for the Z.

let me know if you have one... thanks!

Yes I have carbon fiber patterned vinyl. Just add $3 to the price. Regarding the angles cut, the reason I did that is because if you look straight at the grill, it's actually angled towards the middle as you go down, I just followed the look with vinyl.

is the carbon fiber vinyl as translucent as the vinyl for the headlight overlays?

Stay tuned....

Bats WHOLE CAR Overlay! Change the entire color of your car instantly!

Kidding man.. I love the stuff. Looks cool, but dont think it will do much for a superblack like mine. Still waiting for the weather to warm up so I can put my headlamp and taillamp overlays on....

No, it's not. The vinyl is a tad thicker for the cf finish. I'll post a pic of it in a bit.

Other colors are available as well. I was going to use gunmetal, but I'm saving that for my next piece.

i dont think thick is necessarily bad...the stuff i used to tint my rear signals was from Lamin-X.com and it was muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thicker than your stuff

im not saying that yours is bad..im just tryin to say that the light shines through mine just fine so maybe the CF vinyl will be OK too

however the lamin-x tint makes it BLACK kinda like ACP's overlays

hmmm.... I was actually considering buying the JDM CF front bumper finisher but now that you came up with an inexpensive alternative.... I must rethink my decision.

What does that thing run anyways? The neat thing about mine is that if you ever get tired of it or want to change colors, just peel it off.

Its around $200 bucks. I would imagine it looks almost identical to your CF overlay. Now post that pic already, ppl are waiting!!
