6D carbon fiber interior wrap
I sent a PM to Wu for some samples of the 5D4D and 5D3D vinyl. I've got a spare set interior pieces I want to wrap. I'll keep whichever looks better, the wrap or hydrodip, and sell the other. The only thing I don't like about the dip is how the pattern distorts on curved pieces, which the wrap doesn't do.

Got the samples from Wu Wraps, and it looks like the 5D3D is the one I prefer. It's darker and there's a bit more detail in the "fibers". Seems thin enough to work with easily, but I've never worked with vinyl before. I'll post some pics of the pieces when they're finished.
If you ordered extra, wrap something you have lying around and heat it in the oven to get an idea of how it will peel when aging. There's a chart somewhere online with how long to do it to get an idea of it lasting...I think it's the same as the dip/wrap chart and depends how hot it gets where you are.
Should last a long time for me, even though I'm in Florida. My car is an '08, but it doesn't even get 3k miles a year anymore. The hydrodip is several years old and it still looks like new. I use a little Meguair's quick detail spray wax on it once In a while.
UPDATE: I actually ditched the 6D wraps, I feel like it Just looks cheap. If the wrap was done in small trims in the car it would be fine, but the huge piece in the middle is large and very noticeable and it stands out.
I did some research and found some neffywraps. They are actually cloth like material and quality is real nice and they have a lot of depth on the pattern. I actually like The matte finish on the interior. More subtle look. The only down side is, u have to spray the 3m spray glue so it gets a little messy but they are super easy to work with. No need to heat and stretch. This material is already stretchy without using heat.

Dont mind the winkle in the corner, im going back and re stretching it. I dont think i sprayed enough glue. But it was so much easier to work with.

Hmm... Imo the first wrap looks kinda cheesy... The second wrap actually feels better and has better texture. But everyone has their preference. Some people like the 6D, some people prefer the 3D texture. I just think the matte finish flows better with the interior and the feel of the wrap has better quality.
I'll post some pics when I get the 5D3D applied. I'm not unhappy with my hydrodip, but I've got the spare console, so I'm willing to play with it. Supplies should be here mid- next week. All that matters is what looks good to you, anyway, and everyone has their own tastes.

Might not be for another week, or so, as I've got a minor surgical procedure on Wednesday. I ordered everything from Amazon; 3M primer, squeegee, knife, etc., and I've already got an adjustable heat gun and laser/IR thermometer. I've never done this before, so it should be interesting. I'm going to sand down the bumps on the waterfall, as I think that will give a better result.

I've got all the stuff here, but have had a few things to do on my BMW 635. I started out replacing the alternator and then decided to pull of much of the engine bay hardware to do some polishing and replating. A little mission creep, but it's looking really good and the chemistry I learned all those decades ago is actually useful. Should be done with the BMW this weekend, and then back to the Z.

Wrapped mine in 3m black
No heat gun... Just the power of the sun...
I tried to clear coat carbon fiber wrap before it basically turned it all black.
