Hey guys, I'm confused about my tail light bulbs. Multiple sources say the tail light and brake light are both 7443-type bulbs. However, on my 03 the bulb/plug is definitely something different. Does anyone know what the non-brake-light tail-light bulb type is?

 

7443 should be the correct bulb if they're OEM 03 tail lights.

I'm not too familiar with bulb sizes since there's so many different types but if the 5 watt and 21 watt bulbs are different sizes that could be your issue.

 

Hmm, yeah, I saw the 5 watt vs 21 watt but I just assumed they had the same fitting, but perhaps not. I'll pull the bulb out sometime and doubel check I'm not crazy, but pretty certain the 7443 I got did not fit, but did fit the brake light.

 

Did you ever figure out what the taillight bulb is? I'm trying to shop for a connector to replace my old one, and it seems I need to shop by bulb type. Also I'd like to be able to buy a bulb that fits that connector. The taillight seems to be a smaller bulb and socket than the brake light, in my 2004 350z.
