Default Strosek spoiler w/o factory lip spoiler

Can the Strosek spoiler be mounted w/o the factory lip spoiler? I've looked all over and cannot find any pics of this setup. If you mount w/o the lip spoiler, the ends of the Strosek may lie on the trunk lid. Any thoughts?

Too much work. I want to buy something and bolt it on. I've also been eyeing the Daytona lip spoiler for a while. I'd really like to paint my spoiler black, so small profile would be ideal. My car is white, and the body kit I'm looking at has black trim along the bottom. I'm looking at doing the below.

SL2 front bumper
Devsport side splitters
DAMD rear diffuser
