its not a hard fix on the 07-08's, but you do have to drop the trans... and if you are already doing that might as well do the clutch (just my thoughts)

there are more FI options for the 03-05's, very limited for the 07-08s

The current one I'm looking at is a 06 in automatic (I don't think I'd like a manual for a daily)
The car has 60k miles and looks clean in photos( it's a bit of a drive to go and see it so I'm holding off till I'm closer to a "let's go buy" time

There is also a 09 370z for a few thousand more but 20k more miles and I'm not sure id like that many miles on a car that's already that old

Gotta watch out for the ladies... They come running out of the woodworks for a ride when you have a 350z...

And I'm not talking about in the passenger seat

Welcome to the forum. There is a sticky on things to look out for when buying a Z and you'll find a lot of information in there to read and educate yourself. You say you're not keen on owning a manual as a daily driver but you'll find driving a manual a more involved driving experience than with an auto. I speak from experience as i had 2 S14's before my Z, one was an auto and the other a manual and i had way more fun driving the manual than the auto, even in the city. Try and buy something with plenty of history with it. Piles of invoices go a long way to telling how well a car has been looked after. As Travlee said not ALL '06's had oil consumption problems. If you're nervous about checking one out find out if there is a forum member not too far away from you who'd offer an experienced eye over your potential purchase. All in all the Z's are very reliable as long as they've been well serviced.
