Default Loud airplane doors?!!?!

I know I can't be the first to complain about this.
I tried the 350z group on Facebook, but if anyone else is in that group you know what happens when you ask a question there..

So I've had my Z for a little over a year now. Since the day I got it, it's infuriated me how loud the doors are when they close. I prefer the quieter noise doors on more modern cars make. Does anyone know how to make these doors close any quieter? I'm honestly stumped.

Any help is appreciated!

Yea my doors are loud as well. Might just be a convertible thing.

Get some sticky felt or rubber bumpers. About the only thing you can try and do really.

My tolerance for sound might be higher than most. When I take my wifes car I cant believe how little noise their is, and I dont appreciate it.

I'm thinking it might be, simply due to the fact that apparently everyone with a hatchback doesn't have this issue. Probably due to the fact that our doors stop at the window.

I'll go ahead and try that. Have you done it on yours? Trying to paint a picture in my head of where to put them.

I daily drive a 1999 Acura TL, and the doors are much quieter. And that's a Honda!

The doors on my 32-year old 200K mile BMW 635 close with the slightest click and sound like you're closing a vault door. That's the kind of quality you don't see much on modern cars. <old fart mode off>
