Default 2008 interior door handle removal

The interior door handle closing handle is scratched up. I assume it just pops off, but not sure how or where to start on the removal.

Any info on the removal would be grateful

If you mean the door grip on the passenger side, Then remove the chrome cover with a butter knife, then remove the two screws & it should come out easily.

And if you mean the driver side then yes it just pops off. Be firm but careful, try not to damage the plastics.
Then disconnect the plugs and you're home free.
Here's a video guide for both handles, courtesy of AnothonyJ350:

My pass side was pretty bad, and Courtesy Nissan wanted $110.00 for a replacement. After removing the silver trim and handle, I used a table knife on the back end to remove armrest.
Wet-sanded with 600 paper and 3 light coats of PPG matte black, then a very thin coat of Krylon Crystal top coat. 5 minutes in the oven @ 250F for grins.
Looks amazing, cost $7.00.

THANKS!!!!

I Don't have the patience to paint it, I'll just replace it. Has anyone tried to coat a new/newly painted grip, so that it doesn't scratch?

Wrap it in black vinyl, or hydrodip, which is what I did:

Eventually, all those rubberized pieces will begin to deteriorate, so I just did them all.

Bought the replacement handle off of eBay from a Nissan dealer. Thanks to the video, worked well. Looks nice.
