Default Window switch lights

Could anybody tell me if their window switches stay lit all the time? Mine dont even dim with the dimmer switches. They just stay lit all the time. I recently installed an aftermraket radio and added the oem steering wheel controls. Now im a little paranoid that i messed something up. Ive got an 05 coupe if that means anything

Do yours dim with the dimming switch or stay at the same brightness no matter what? I couldve sworn mine would dim and turn off with all the other buttons before i installed the radio amd controls

Just had a look - The window switch lighting is not controlled by the dimmer, and they're illuminated whenever the key is turned on.

Thank you. Its been bugging me ever since i noticed it. Youd think those leds would be controlled with all the other interior leds.

The switch LEDs most likely just tap into the power supply for the window motor - that's the way it is on my BMW, too.
