Default 350z 06 interior paint peeling

Hello All,

I am so pissed! The interior tech displays on top of the dash black paint is peeling off. On hot day you can rub your finger over the displays and the paint will come off showing off the gray plastic.

I am contemplating on just removing them and adding black vinyl to them but I am afraid of removing the center display braking something.

Any suggestions?

Normal.

It's happened on almost every Z/G I've ever seen.

Accept mine. I don't know how or why but my Z for some reason has held up really well. But that's not common.

Mine too so far. About once a month I get my interior plastic WET with Armor-All. And I use their Tire Gel stuff because its stays put. Just this weekend someone was looking at my car and he was shocked it was an '03 since the interior looks NEW.

I have only three issues: on the headlight switch the silver paint is coming off and the clear coat on the silver that surrounds the cruise control buttons is flaking. Also my stick shift **** is a mess. I sanded the metal down (wet sanding, very fine grit) painted the engraved areas red (with wife's nail polish no less) but never clear coated it. So it looked great... for about two months, then went back to looking all nasty. However I think it will easily polish back up, then I'll clear it to keep it that way.
