I'm new to this but i am having tons of trouble with his please help anyone who can!!!!
so i bought my 350z with a broken exterior door handle thinking it wouldn't be hard to fix. from what i heard it isn't. so i ordered one from amazon (not a nissan OE part) and before i got it i would just use key to roll the windows down and use the interior handle no big deal. today i received my new handle and i went to install and once i did with everything hooked up the door locks were working then i shut the door to make sure the handle was working...... which it didn't and to add to that the interior handle locked also and i could not unlock the driver side manually or electronically. after fighting to get the door back open did it again and again to make sure i wasn't missing anything and every time when i would go to use the new exterior handle the locks would jam and nothing would happen. so after about 4-5 hours of this i gave up and put everything back the way it was old handle and all and all was working as it did. after i closed up my shop i went to get into it the way i used to to go home and it locked again inside and out with no way to open interior handle. ended up climbing in through the window but id rather not do this forever lol.

if ANYONE has an idea how how to fix this or whats wrong please let me know!!

 

sounds like you didnt put it together correctly. been a while since i have done it, but there are 2 rods in there. just do this from now on

 

I'd love to see General Lee's interior. It's probably all ripped to hell.
