Your aftermarket 8 pin connector is using different colors that don't match the OEM headlight harness colors.

I can't tell what you have connected to pins 5-8 based on your picture.

Are you referring to the red and black connector coming out of the headlamp housing? That looks like the high beam solenoid trigger for the HID projector, but I'm not sure.

I had a hard time finding oem chassis and headlight end so I went aftermarket 8pin. 5 and 6 are wired to the connector for the ballast. 7 and 8 are wired to this led strip(day time running)

Is your high beam powered on all the time, or only when you turn them on from the stalk on the steering column?

Also, does your headlamp have the separate H7 halogen bulb for the high beam, or are you using the 06+ style with bixenon?

they come on when I switch it to just headlights how the low beam would come on but instead it’s high beam. Doesn’t do anything when I switch high beam on n off. it’s a h7 bulb for high beam. Before I did any wiring myself this was what I had to go by with the headlight side of course. The yellow wire wasn’t even connected to anything either n the black wire coming off the ballast socket wasn’t either. Before I started trying to fix the terrible wire job. Everything worked besides my low beams/hid bulb it was hit n miss 9/10 it didn’t work tho

It sounds like you have the connections for the pins reversed. Looking at the harness from the body (not looking at the harness leading to the headlight), the pinouts should be connected like this.

Pin #, color, description

1: Black, Turn signal; Parking light; Side Marker, Ground -
2: Green.White, Turn signal, 12+
3: Red/Yellow, Headlamp High, 12+
4: Black, Headlamp High, Ground -
5: Red/Blue, Side Marker, 12+
6: Red/Blue, Parking Light, 12+
7: Red/Black, HID Low, 12+
8: Black, HID Low, Ground -

Your colors will likely be a little different. Currently, it appears you have your high beam connected to 7 and 8 instead of 3 and 4. You might need to flip everything.
