Question Third Brake Light (on top of the tonneau)

Hello 350z guru dudes!

The brake light on top of my tonneau cover has crapped out on me I have been on line looking for a replacement and keep hitting road blocks.

Do I really have to spend $250 on a whole replacement piece that needs to be painted? Or is there a potential I can fix it? Ugh... it's been a long couple of months with my car and I'd like just one semi easy fix. If I do need the replacement part, do any of you have a suggestion as to where I can find one? As always, thank you so much for your input!

Sincerely,
Jessica

Is the light out completely or just dim and not as bright?

As far as a DIY solution, are you handy with a soldering iron?

Check out Deus' last post in this thread. Maybe it will help.
