Default Chrome Dash Piece Ideas

I just repainted and installed my stereo and my interiors almost done. But I want to get rid of this chrome around the boot. Has anyone done anything with it like black or CF? If so can you post pics. I’d like to see what others have done.

Was going to suggest matte black wrap because it sounded good but then found this on GooImages...

Personally, I like the natural aluminum finish as stock; but this looks pretty nice if you're trying to dim it all down a bit.

Black does look pretty good. I was thinkin of doin a pearl in it too so it can have some effect other then flat black. Something like this:

I'm trying to think of the correct word for this. "Hideous" comes close but hey, it's your car...

It’d be smaller and its mostly like that in different angles of light. I like it but I can’t win everyone I guess.

I think the aluminum finish looks much better than that flaked black. The matte black doesn't look too bad but the aluminum looks better to my eyes.
