Default The functional(?/non) bumper tuck diffuser

After doing a vented hood and bumper with better airflow for TT cooling which included a front splitter that I tied into my aluminium under-tray, I decided to fill the void left by a bumper tuck I did a while ago to balance the look.

I went dual exhaust many moons ago, and this left the area between tips a big sail hanging down into the air. To fix that I did the tuck one day. This works and looks good except from low and straight behind, were you can see right to the diff.

So I got out the CAD and designed a rear diffuser that flattens the space from behind the diff to the rear and matches the rear curve of the bumper. It's bolted up to inserts into the rear crash bar.

Aluminium look pre powder coat:

Black coated, showing front bolts to subframe brace right behind the diff:

Side(ish) view:

The wing has a small angle and is gently curved up to try to generate some down force. Will see next track day, but it's mostly for looks.

It would have to be a group of least 5 or more. By the time I had these laser cut, welded by a buddies friend, and powercoated (we did 2), it was around 500-600 each. Plus there would be shipping from the great white north as these are bulky.

If there's some interest I can post the drawings. I'd have to tweak some hole locations a bit, the cardboard template was a little out.

Love the ingenuity. I just can't jump behind it though. It looks almost out of place to me. Maybe if it wrapped around the exhaust and had one more vent on each side. Great way to fill in that void though!
