Default Steering wheel

Since my clock spring is taking a dump (flashing airbag light - though cruise and horn still work) and I have done the reset procedure (off and on 4 times) and the light has come back on, it is time to replace.

Since my factory steering wheel is going to be removed, and since the leather is falling apart, it may be time to replace the wheel as well.

Anyone have any decent ones? I don't need anything fancy, and I don't use the cruise control anyways.

I still need the horn to work. Could give a **** less about the airbag.

Almost sounds like you don't anything lol.
I think all the modified stock wheels look dope, and there are zero compromises and they get made however you like and don't look like a tacky add-on.

Some guidance please .

I've seen refurbished 350z steering wheels on Flea Bay. One of the members here offered me his old one, which is in really good shape (he sent me pics) and his shifter ****

Is 115 plus shipping a fair offer?

Yes. With the air bag include. It is a fair deal. The deal is most of the steering wheels I found were in pretty worn out shape. That one looks looks great.

If you want to go after market then you would put in a resister to trick the airbag sensor and get the light turned off. I have not done it myself. But lots of info on it out there.

You could also sell off the airbag and shift **** on eBay to offset the cost.

For Reference as to how much the modified stock ones are, they usually run 450-800 with CF. They are thicker and you don't know what you are missing till you have it lol. That one looks like a good deal for sure.

I would go completely aftermarket. Not a modified stock wheel. If I'm going to shell out that kind of coin, carbon fiber and alcantara.

Thing is, I had an engine fire and lost the main engine loom on my other car. So, money is earmarked for that. Stitch is my daily driver and autocross car until the other one is fixed. Then Stitch will be my daily only, and Space Ghost will be the occasional driver and CAM-S racecar. Or might even run APrepared on Hoosier A7 or Michelin slicks.

Mine is carbon and leather, modified stock feels better than any aftermarket I've felt, and has air bag and full functionality. I want to have the cruise buttons to switch maps on Uprev.

Thanks, one of the cleanest aftermarket seats you can get for our cars IMO.

The one I got in is actually in worse shape than mine. Pics did not show how much the leather has delaminated on the top.

So, I ordered a reskin kit to sew on, Alcantara and Leather. Let's see how that goes.

That is disappointing. The good examples are hard to find for sure. You did get it for a very low price though, so getting a cover will still work out.

I sent it back, Jim. Overall, it was worse than what I already have. I am just going to reskin my original with a kit from Flea Bay
